About
Startup Bangladesh Limited is the first and only flagship venture capital fund of the ICT Division, sponsored by the Government of Bangladesh. Its Idea Competition invites aspiring founders across the country to turn an innovative business idea into a funded venture. Selected teams progress through idea screening, a structured bootcamp and mentorship phase, and a final pitch to an investment panel. The strongest ventures are considered for pre-seed and seed investment from the fund, alongside placement in Startup Bangladesh's portfolio support programme. The competition is a primary on-ramp into Bangladesh's national startup ecosystem, connecting founders with government-backed capital, corporate partners and the wider ICT Division innovation network.
Eligibility
Open to Bangladeshi nationals and to startups registered or operating in Bangladesh. Aimed at early-stage founders and teams with an innovative, scalable business idea — a working product is not required at the idea stage. Students, recent graduates and first-time founders are encouraged to apply. Team-based applications are preferred.
