About
The Seedstars World Competition is the largest startup competition focused on emerging markets. Each year the Seedstars team travels to 85+ cities from May to November, sourcing the best early-stage startups and running local pitch competitions. Startups apply to the local competition in the ecosystem where they operate. Applications are evaluated by the Seedstars team using a purpose-built assessment framework covering team, traction, market and impact. Local winners represent their country at the regional summits and the Seedstars World Grand Finale, where they pitch to a global panel of investors for investment and acceleration prizes. Beyond the prize, participation gives founders direct access to Seedstars' emerging-market investor network, growth programmes and portfolio support.
Eligibility
Startups must have a scalable technology product. Must have raised less than USD 500,000 in investment to date. Must be operating in an emerging market and apply to the nearest local competition in that ecosystem. Typically less than three years since incorporation, with a live product and early traction.
