Location: Dhaka, Bangladesh

Roles & Responsibilities

  • Develop and deliver market-specific portfolio strategies in close partnership with key stakeholders in Bangladesh.

  • Support regional strategic sourcing projects and lead local negotiation planning and execution.

  • Ensure commercial benefits and savings are captured in the relevant benefits tools and signed off by Finance.

  • Collaborate proactively with Supplier Operations to support day-to-day transactional requirements and increase value through eProcurement tools.

  • Provide credible market intelligence and local supplier segmentation, and create detailed budget and spend analyses to identify the sourcing pipeline and plan.

  • Ensure contractual commitments are in place and appropriately reviewed and approved by stakeholders, Legal and Finance.

  • Manage escalation topics arising from the market and seek support from the global portfolio leads where required.

  • Build a culture of collaboration and foster strong relationships with stakeholders and suppliers.

  • Support stakeholders in complying with company policy, MBS rules of engagement and procurement guidelines.

  • Implement sourcing strategies, operating models and supplier relationships, with a focus on sustainability and responsible sourcing.

  • Work with senior stakeholders to deliver complex, globally led projects across multiple geographies.

  • Deliver financial targets and other KPIs, including value delivery, in line with business plan objectives.

  • Lead supplier relationships in Bangladesh and partner with global teams to implement the Partner to Win strategy with critical suppliers.

  • Lead, inspire and develop the Bangladesh team. The role includes one direct report based in Dhaka.

  • Drive digital approaches and technology enablers to future-proof the portfolio.

  • Lead internal performance management and reporting, including the creation and stewardship of relevant KPIs.

Key Competencies & Skills

  • 10+ years of overall experience in Supply Chain, with a core focus on procurement experience, including proven and deep experience in professional services, related fields or indirect procurement portfolios.

  • Expertise in sourcing, negotiation and contracting, ideally in one or more indirect procurement categories.

  • Strong understanding of the Bangladesh market landscape for Marketing & Business Services.

  • Bachelor’s degree in engineering or business administration.

  • Proven project management experience.

  • Experience contributing to business process reengineering and leading change management initiatives.

  • Strong leadership capability to inspire a team and influence peers and senior stakeholders.

  • Ability to perform under pressure and operate effectively in a complex global environment with multiple stakeholder requirements.

  • Comfort with ambiguity and the ability to lead through change.

  • Ability to create and drive adoption and execution of a shared vision and strategy for change.

  • Ability to engage cross-functional senior stakeholders effectively and translate their needs into balanced solutions.

  • Ability to manage the interface between day-to-day delivery and improvement projects.

  • High financial and business acumen.

  • Strong verbal and written communication skills, including the creation and delivery of effective presentations.

  • Strong stakeholder management, project management, time management and people skills.

  • Collaborative, service-minded and creative problem-solving approach.

  • Passion for continuous improvement, practical creativity and digital ways of working.
